My name is Thibault Masson and have created this site as your online guide to St Barts villa rentals.
My goal is to help first-timers, as well as regular visitors, make the best out of their time on the island of Saint Barthélémy, French West Indies.
I have been coming to the island since 1995. My partner and I own a villa in St Barts (our villa has its own site). We live in Paris, France, but we come to this island two to three times a year, for several weeks.
One of my joys is to bring friends to St Barts, to let them discover the island, to give them tips on where to go, what to do.
Why create a site in English?
Well, first, about 80% of the visiting guests on the island are North Americans. So, I guess that there is much more interest for an English-speaking site.
Second, almost all the guests staying in our villa are Americans. As a result of their kind feedback over the years, I have been able to understand what they like or dislike on the island. By the way, if you are one of regular guests, thank you for your loyalty, we really appreciate it. For some of you, we know that the house has been part of some very meaningful moments in your lives.
Last, I was lucky enough to study in a US university and make numerous American friends. Once, I even had some of them over here in St Barts for Spring Break (yes, I did put Spring Break and St Barts in the same sentence). So, let's just say that I love sharing with American friends the happiness that this very French island brings to me.
This site is just about how I see the island, what I like about it.
