Hold on a minute. Let's be clear about this, the fixed-price lunch at The Wall House is 9.50 euros, not 17.50 euros. Wine and water will bring the bill up but it is not and never was, 17.50 euros. The Ti Zouk K'fe serves a "plat du jour" for 10 euros and this includes a drink. It's great value and the owners are always charming.

Finally one cannot avoid mentioning Le Select, where you can get a glass of your favourite tipple for an embarrassingly inexpensive price. Le Select serves hamburgers, hot dogs etc. but the most important thing is that it's an institution. It's the oldest bar on the island and it's the bar where you might see film stars mixing with the locals.
